“My son has just finished first semester Organic Chemistry at UW-Madison with weekly Skype tutor sessions from Lennox Tutoring utilizing the “12/12 Method of Mentoring Organic Chemistry.” Recalling what it was like to take Organic Chemistry as an undergraduate, I began searching for an organic chemistry tutor many months before my son was to start his class. I discovered Lennox Tutoring by searching for, “Organic Chemistry Tutor + time management.” There I discovered a treasure trove of cognitive science and organic chemistry articles, written by Joseph Lennox PhD, which I shared with my son while he was still in general chemistry. Knowing that being proactive and able to ask for help is an important skill, I discussed hiring Lennox Organic Chemistry Tutoring with my son weeks before his Organic Chemistry class started. Thanks to the individualized and adaptive “12/12 Method of Mentoring Organic Chemistry,” my son scored consistently in the top one percent of his class on every exam! Better yet, he is enthusiastic about starting second semester organic chemistry. I highly recommend Lennox Organic Tutoring without reservation.”

“I took Ochem 140A my freshman year and did well below par. I was scared off of the series and put off taking 140B until Spring 12. This was a huge mistake on my part as I completely forgot all the stuff I learned. I contacted Joseph to be my organic chemistry tutor and got much more than I expected. Joseph took the time to go through the material and lecture notes from my specific professor to tailor our sessions exactly according to the class. He showed me methods of understanding reaction mechanisms instead of having me try to memorize them. This made a world of difference as I ended the class with an ‘A.’ He took the time to teach the class at my pace of learning which allowed me to gain a complete understanding of the material rather than a superficial one. Aside from the material we were covering in class Joseph taught me real-world applications of the theory that I was learning. I have gotten a much better understanding of the material than my fellow classmates due to his patient and systematic method of teaching. I have recommended taking Dr. Lennox on as an organic chemistry tutor to my friends who were struggling in ochem and will continue to do so!”

“In my second quarter of O-Chem I lost my confidence for the subject after doing miserably on my midterm. Thinking I might never get it, and that maybe I should stop planning a career in medicine, I decided to drop the class. But I didn’t give up after all; instead I decided to try again and this time study even harder and also hire a tutor. I found Dr. Joseph Lennox, an organic chemistry tutor with the right credentials, who worked with me patiently and diligently to help me see the connections, the concepts that I was missing, and also helped me to arrive at answers on my own. He showed me that I could truly understand what I was doing, and I am so grateful to him because I just got my grades and scored an A on my final and in the class. Organic Chemistry can be understood, and students can be successful. Thank you for your patience and help this quarter Dr. Lennox.”

“I recently finished taking Organic Chemistry from National University thanks to Lennox Tutoring! The class was accelerated, which was a challenge for me since I have not had a chemistry class in 15 years. My plan was to start the tutoring sessions in advance so that I would be familiar with the concepts before they were presented in class. I knew I needed someone who could actually TEACH ME the material, Joseph was perfect.
He took the time to become familiar with what my course was requiring. Then, systematically, went through each lesson with me. Joseph took the time to observe how I learn and modified his techniques to my learning needs. I felt that he had mastered the material and knew how to explain the concepts multiple ways. His patience was abundant, he was always willing to go over anything I did not understand again and again until I felt comfortable. I am very happy that I used his tutoring services, and recommend him highly. Thank you Joseph!”

“Joseph is the most experienced and professional tutor I have worked with in my 7 years of higher education. Punctual and organized, he often arrived at our meeting place early and with materials related to my current coursework in-hand. In addition to having an outstanding command of Organic Chemistry, Joseph demonstrated a genuine interest in the art of teaching. He often inquired about the teaching methods used by my instructors, and explained concepts in terms of how they may be posed on an exam. Furthermore, Joseph was generous with his time, going out of his way to ensure that I had every resource to succeed. It was not uncommon that I would receive an email within hours of our last meeting, following up on concepts I had found challenging with additional study resources. At the end of every meeting, Joseph reminded me that he was always available for questions via email and telephone. I recommend the tutoring services of Dr. Lennox enthusiastically and without reservations.”

“Joseph is an outstanding organic chemistry tutor, and I would recommend him to anyone. Not only does he adapt his teaching style to each students unique needs, but he also makes you feel extremely comfortable; I was able to admit I was completely lost at times without being embarrassed. He worked with me through every detail of first semester organic chemistry, and while the class was averaging 39% on exams I was receiving grades of 87%. You can tell he sincerely cares if his students succeed, and even puts himself ‘on-call’ before exams for any last minute questions. If you are a willing to put in the effort, he will go above and beyond to work with you to receive the grade you desire. With his help I was able to achieve an A in a subject that results with half the class failing each semester.”

“As a student I found that Joseph was a great tutor and very influential on my final grade in Organic Chemistry. The course proved to be very difficult for me and meeting with Joseph before my exams really helped me understand the information better. Not only did Joseph take the time to meet with me, but he made himself available for any questions and drove all the way to my location to meet. Another asset that Joseph provided was informational flowcharts and diagrams that were helpful in understanding the information. Overall, I would recommend Joseph as an organic chemistry tutor and I felt very comfortable working with him.”

“In Fall 2010, I had a challenging Organic Synthesis class, and I hired Joseph as a tutor. He did such a great job I recommended him to two of my friends, and they also became regular clients. Joseph is skilled at explaining complex reaction systems, mechanisms, and the physical dynamics involved in why a reaction works one way as opposed to another. He has tremendous patience when teaching the subject matter. Joseph also brings real world experience to organic chemistry reactions by explaining how one could use them in the process of making a drug, as an example. Joseph was always well prepared for each session. He would bring research papers he had found online about certain reactions. Joseph also had reaction synthesis diagrams already prepared for the problem set we would be working that day. I was always so pleased he had taken time out of his day to look at things we would be working on within our 2 hour time frame. To me, that went above and beyond the call of duty as a tutor.”
